About the centre

Students are encouraged to attend the centre regularly so that they can benefit from the motivational class environment and guidance from me. This is very important as it ensures that I can monitor their progress allowing them to progress at the just right level, suitable to their advancement.

 

When students arrive at the centre, they find their folder and swap their homework for new work. They then independently complete their class worksheet for the day. Their work is individually set by me to ensure it is at their just right level. They hand their class worksheet to an assistant to mark, doing any corrections if there are any. It's important to leave knowing you have got everything right.

 

While at the centre they also complete the other activities available such as reading, mental arithmetic and number board challenges.

 

All students see me with their record book and completed class work for feedback. Students also collect their reward stickers. During class times, my time is primarily for the students. However, I can be reached outside class times for any discussion.

 

There is no greater reward than in knowing that one is doing well. Kumon rewards students as they progress through the programme. As they master each level they receive an Achievement Certificate as well as reward stickers.

 

Adam and Olivia El-Rakshy have been attending the Brigg Study Centre for six months. Following our recent ASR event, their mum Tricia said:

"We have enjoyed the ceremony evening. It was inspiring to Adam and Olivia to listen and watch the high achievers and how they work. It was also inspiring for the parents to see how with hard work and perseverance our children can achieve a lot." 

 

At the Brigg Kumon Study Centre our students are very proud of their achievements and they leave the centre feeling very positive, confident and happy.
