Meet the students

Student of the Month- August 2011

Well done to Iona, our Student of the Month for August, who recently achieved level C in maths. Good luck at level D, Iona. Iona started the English programme in January 2008. Having just completed level DII, she says it is her favourite level because it is challenging. She is also doing the maths programme and recognises that Kumon has helped her times-tables. Her advice to new students is, "Get your Kumon done as soon as you get up."

 

Student of the month: December 2011
Ruby enjoys multiplication. She says Kumon has helped her school work by giving her more confidence and helping her to work independently. Her advice to new students is: "If you're not confident, don't worry. Kumon builds your confidence. Everyone at the Brigg Centre is polite and help is always on hand."
Ruby's Mum says: "It has been the most positive, confidence boosting and beneficial learning programme she has undertaken. The proof is extremely evident at every parents evening we attend."
 

Student of the Month - October 2011

Joe is currently studying on level D, having recently achieved his Bronze ASR. Well done, Joe. His advice for new students is to avoid distractions when doing the worksheets. His Mum said, "Joe has progressed well with Kumon and we are pleased with his progress. Joe's understanding has improved greatly which is invaluable for his studies at school".
 

Student of the Month - November 2011

November's Student of the Month, Oliver Jones, has achieved his Bronze ASR for maths. He says he used to struggle with multiplication and division before getting onto the Kumon programme. He recently moved up a group in his class at school. His advice for new students is: "Work really hard. You'll get used to it and it's worth it!"

 

G-League

A member of the G-League, Ravnoor started the maths programme in March 2007. She says she has enjoyed studying level F because she found it both challenging and fun.
"Kumon has helped me move into the top set at school. In a recent school exam I got the highest mark in my class."
Her advice for other students is: "It may get hard but don't give up! It will help you in the future."
Well done, Ravnoor. It's great to see you grow in confidence.
