I'm Chris (Christine) and I have run the Bristol, Ashton Study Centre since 1999. During this time I have had the privilege welcoming many children living and attending schools around Ashton as well as many others travelling from a wider area to the centre.
Students can and do begin their Kumon journey at any age and at different parts of the Kumon programme. Whatever their starting age or starting point, their journey towards completing the programme contains many challenges and triumphs. I always consider it a joy and honour to see the students begin to confidently tackle the challenges and to observe their triumphs, no matter how big or small.
To me, a very special privilege has been to witness unsure young primary school students, perhaps struggling to recognise numbers or learn the letter sounds, mature into confident, competent teenagers successfully completing pages of maths and comprehension at GCSE or A-level standard.
If you would like further information to help you decide if Kumon is right for your family please, contact me to book an enrolment. This is a meeting between the child, parent and Instructor. It usually lasts between an hour and an hour and a half and, if convenient, takes place at the child's home.
