"I believe Kumon is the reason why my maths has improved, and without it I wouldn't have achieved an A in my GCSE maths and wouldn't have even attempted A-level!"
Faye Liversage (aged 17), Kumon maths completer

Meet the students

"I started attending Kumon five years ago.  When my dad first enrolled me in Kumon I struggled in most areas of the subject, finding it difficult to calculate simple mathematical operations. Since attending Kumon my maths skills have improved dramatically.

"I feel confident when approaching any type of maths question, whether it is mental maths or written. I am now in the top GCSE maths set at school and am aiming for A/B grade. I feel that without the help, support and patience of Sarah I could not have got to where I am today."

Lori-Leah Holes, aged 15

"Although it doesn't seem too long ago, I remember being a 4 year old preparing to complete my initial assessment with Sarah as my first step on my journey along the Kumon path. At that time I struggled with simple additions, but now I have managed to achieve multiplication of polynomials and the Pythagorean theorem."

"Over the last 9 years my journey has taken me to this stage where it is my privilege to stand before you as I accept my level I plaque. There have been many highs and lows during my journey, but one thing that I have found was that the structure makes progressing from one level to the next that much more logical, and even though the steps have been challenging, with Sarah and my mum's help and a lot of perseverance, I have managed to progress though to this moment.

"Kumon has provided a tremendous springboard to my schoolwork, and I have found its structure complementary not just to my Maths and English work, but many of the principles can be applied to other subjects as well. It has helped me with so much of my other work that I shall always be grateful to the foundation that Kumon and Sarah have given me."

Amy Clarke, aged 13

"In year 2 I was struggling to cope in maths and I didn't have any confidence in myself. "Now I have confidence in maths. I have confidence in anything I do."

Matthew Brothers, aged 10

"Back in 1999 my Kumon journey began when I was just 9 years old, starting at level 2A. I had decided to take up a hobby and the Kumon Maths sign had a caught my eye in town.

"As a little girl I was very good at Maths and Kumon for me was a way to push myself and excel. I found the work in school too easy and consequently uninteresting. Kumon therefore, offered me the challenge to push myself forward.

"One important factor to be aware of is that the Kumon programme caters for both the needs of those struggling with Maths or English and those who wish to extend their existing talents and attributes."
