Katie and Kirsty's Story
Sisters Kirsty, 14 and Katie, 12 have studied both maths and English and have been at the centre for over 4 years. 

 

"Kumon has assisted both girls in becoming more confident with their own skills in Maths and English. Gaining confidence in their own abilities has enabled them to work effectively, taking responsibility for their own learning and seeking support and advice only where necessary. Participating in the class has also widened their circle of friends and has helped to develop their social skills."

John's Story
John, age 13, has been studying Maths and English for over two years. 

 

"Recently John did a times tables test (60 questions) in school and was top of the class with 100% in 4 minutes! I believe his teacher was amazed. He most certainly would not have achieved this without Kumon. His teacher in P5 told me not to stress him with learning tables as he would never be able to memorise them. At that point I knew I had to do something. I wish we had started Kumon sooner. Thank you so much."

Lucy's Story
Lucy, age 7, started recently at the centre studying English.

 

"Lucy has adjusted well to the new routine. She particularly enjoys improving her times. Ray and his fabulous team of girls have been very welcoming and Lucy enjoys doing the English activities with them."

Matthew's Story
"My son has benefited hugely in numerous ways. His understanding of maths was very poor and he now not only excels at school but really enjoys the subject. As he has seen the improvements himself from an early stage he has never had a problem working away at his Kumon during the week. Hayley and Lauren's story

Sisters Hayley and Lauren both reached the higher levels of the maths programme and became assistants at the centre for many years before leaving for university.
