"Kumon study is the best thing I have ever done for my child Rohan. ...learning Kumon over the last 3 years Rohan has been able to think faster and has become more confident in general and progressed very well in maths."
No. Children come during that time and do the activity set for them, then go home as soon as they are finished ( about 20/25 minutes). Some arrive early and leave early; others have a journey after school and come later.
We welcome one visit to the classroom, for an initial view of how it works, but generally the parents wait in the sitting room for under-8s, or to pick up older students. That maintains a quiet working atmosphere in class. Vital communication between parents and the teacher is maintained by telephone, email, or notes on paper. Newsletters are distributed to celebrate successes and keep everyone well informed.
Enrolments are held at your home after school on the non-class days (Wednesday, Thursday or Friday) and take about an hour. It is essential that the adult who will be supporting the student at home attends the enrolment, (so younger children needing attention will be best cared for in another room during the hour).
