"Kumon is not always fun because it is challenging, but it is always successful provided parent, Instructor and student work in partnership."
Marie Gibb, Correspondence Instructor

Meet the students

Zack

"Zack has studied maths and English by correspondence for some time now. He has made good progress, particularly in maths, and as a result is a far more confident child. Whenever I have had a query or problem relating to Zack's studies, Marie has always been extremely helpful and encouraging. She treats each pupil as an individual and has a wonderful way of boosting their morale when needed. We are very grateful for all the help received."

(Shiralee; Zack's mother)

Abigail and Megan

Marie Gibb Meet the students Abigail and Megan"We have chosen to study by correspondence for the flexibility and convenience it gives us. We know that we will now not miss class due to sports fixtures, holidays, illness or bad weather. Kumon has been tremendously beneficial for our girls. They have learned the discipline of completing a piece of work within a given time and are now used to completing assessments and so are not quite so nervous of school tests and exams, as they know in advance what to expect. The additional study has also dramatically improved their school results."

(Margaret; Abigail & Megan's mother)

Alex and Rosie
"Thank you for sending Alex and Rosie's work out promptly each week. Alex and Rosie live quite a distance from the nearest centre and they are involved in a lot of sport, so Kumon by correspondence works really well for us. We all appreciate your notes each week, commenting on their progress and responding to concerns."

(Ann-Marie; mother of Alex & Rosie)

Jamie

Marie Gibb meet the students Jaime"Jamie's life is very full and varied. Studying Kumon by correspondence has enabled him to continue doing something he really enjoys without wasting precious time in a car!"

(Karen; Jamie's Mum)

"I love the extra responsibility I have by studying Kumon by correspondence and it gives me more time to do other things too."

(Jamie)

Paarth

"Joining Kumon has helped boost Paarth's confidence. Marie and her staff at Kumon have been very helpful. Though Paarth has not interacted directly with Marie (us being in the Correspondence Kumon), he looks forward to getting those small notes from Marie. Marie has always been prompt on her replies to any queries. Also, she is very open to understanding the problems the kids and we parents face at times. Thank you for all that and looking forward to your support in the future."

(Shilpa; Paarth's Mum)

Tobias (Toby)

Marie Gibb meet the students Toby"Toby has been studying KUMON Maths for five plus years, attending the Salisbury Centre weekly. It has not always been easy for Toby or us, his parents, to get the work done, but he has been encouraged and allowed to work at a comfortable rate for all concerned. Marie and the team have provided a consistent approach and have encouraged Toby to get through the sometimes difficult periods with outcomes that would not have been achieved through the normal learning system. Toby has exceeded expectations in the KS2 SATs tests, achieving a level 5 grading in maths. Toby wants to continue his KUMON studies in Maths through the secondary school stages, however by correspondence due to travel and time constraints."

(Tina; Toby's mother)
