"Kumon study is the best thing I have ever done for my child Rohan. ...learning Kumon over the last 3 years Rohan has been able to think faster and has become more confident in general and progressed very well in maths."
Mrs Haldankar, mother of Rohan (aged 10), Whetstone study centre

About the centre

Students are given seven booklets to do each week. Most do the first one in the centre under our guidance and complete the rest at home but students may come to the centre twice a week if they wish. Parents mark the work so that the child gets instant feedback and can immediately correct any errors. Initially the booklets will take 10-15 minutes a day to complete which will gradually increase as the level of work becomes more challenging and the student's interest and ability develops.

We operate on a drop in basis. Once the students have completed their work they can leave. Each student learns to work steadily and rapidly and to work independently which raises their self confidence and self esteem.

If you would like to explore further whether Kumon is right for your child please contact me to book an enrolment . This is a meeting between the parent, child and Instructor. The aim is to clarify our individual roles within Kumon and to find out where in the programme your child would start if they did begin. The latter task is done through the setting of a diagnostic test designed to show what they currently find easy. The test is not pass or fail but is aimed at identifying current ability. By attending an enrolment you are not committing yourself to Kumon.

The enrolment is free of charge and lasts about an hour. At the end of it you will

we hope feel sufficiently informed to decide whether or not the programme in either Maths or English (or even both) are right for your child and whether you can commit as a family. Kumon parents are involved fully in their child's progress.

I look forward to working with you.
