"I believe Kumon is the reason why my maths has improved, and without it I wouldn't have achieved an A in my GCSE maths and wouldn't have even attempted A-level!"
My name is Diane Bayliff and I am the Instructor at the Kumon centre in Skipton.
As a maths lecturer and a mother of three, I am passionate about education and fully believe that Kumon can help children to develop their potential in Maths and English and to become more confident individuals.
When the opportunity arose to take over the Kumon centre in Skipton, I saw this as an exciting opportunity to set up my own business and run a successful and happy study centre.
Since taking over in September 2010, the Kumon study centre has grown from around 20 students to almost 70. I have found my new role as a Kumon Instructor extremely enjoyable and very rewarding. I really enjoy observing the students in class and seeing them grow in confidence and ability. The most fulfilling part of being a Kumon instructor is when parents make comments such as "my child has moved up a table in Maths" or "my child is so much more confident at reading", after all this is the aim of Kumon to ensure that children can reach their potential.
