"Kumon study is the best thing I have ever done for my child Rohan. ...learning Kumon over the last 3 years Rohan has been able to think faster and has become more confident in general and progressed very well in maths."
Mrs Haldankar, mother of Rohan (aged 10), Whetstone study centre

About the centre

Students can start at the Stanmore centre from as young as four where they learn their numbers up to 200 before moving onto addition, subtraction and all topics around the national curriculum. Students can continue studying up to GCSES and A Levels and beyond. Some of my students have gone on to study a Maths or English related degrees at top universities.

Students can come to the lass either once or twice a week. The Tuesday class is suitable for children attending after school and the Saturday classes for working parents and children who are busy with after-schools activities during the week. All children on the earlier level are encouraged to take part in the oral activities to help them with the number bonding or times tables while their class work is being marked. Older children are asked to look at their homework to see if there is something new and would like help and guidance with.

All children on the English programme are encouraged to read at home. A list of recommended books is provided when students start. All young children are asked to read to my assistants in class.

To assist me in running the centre I have a team of assistants who have either been Kumon parents, students or are currently 'A' Level students. This is to ensure that all children are guided wherever necessary.

The centre has a large waiting room and parking is free at Sainsbury's car park.
