The centre is conveniently located in the heart of Timperley at the Timperley Village Club on Stockport Road. There is ample parking behind the building. Local shops and major bus routes are on the doorstep.
Classes run on a Monday and Thursday between 3:30-5:30pm and students usually spend approximately 30 minutes in the centre.
Students range in age from three-and-a-half to 16 years old. Regardless of ability, Kumon provides them with the self belief, assurance and transferable self-learning skills to realise their potential throughout school and life. The Kumon programme enables those struggling to access the school curriculum more effectively, those wishing to be stretched to be challenged and those 'middle of the road' to make all round improvements in their studies. This is through the daily study of worksheets at a pace and quantity suitable to each individual student.
There are students who have been at the centre for over five years and almost every month there are new starters. The centre has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere so any initial anxieties are quickly forgotten. There are plenty of assistants on hand to give guidance and encouragement to those who may need it.
