I love working for Kumon! Never before have I worked in such a supportive and stimulating environment. Kumon places a strong focus on the training and development of the field teams and as such, we engage in interesting and challenging discussions that help to develop us as individuals, as well as our wider teams, on a daily basis.

Open communication is encouraged and I feel I can ask any question of management, regardless of how insignificant it might seem. The way in which Kumon prioritises education and the potential of children is another plus to being a Kumon employee. There are few successful companies that are so closely aligned with the future of our children, and working for one of them is an honour.

The role of Area Manager at Kumon is varied, exciting, rewarding, challenging and stimulating, and no one day is the same as the next. I always find it difficult to sum up what we do, because we tend to do a little bit of everything! Excellent people and communication skills, creativity, professionalism, a positive attitude, a passion for education and high levels of motivation are just some of the attributes that make a successful Area Manager. Perhaps one of the biggest draw cards to this role is the way in which we are encouraged to work innovatively and in ways most suited to our respective personalities. As an Area Manager, one thus requires high amounts of initiative and the ability to manage one's time effectively. It is a role I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a challenge and wants to learn and grow through their career.
