"It is highly rewarding to be a part of young people's success and to hear reports from school of how they are advancing and often outperforming their peers."

Kumon to showcase individualised learning workshop at the Education Show

Leading supplementary education provider Kumon Educational UK will be exhibiting at The TES Education Show 2010 and presenting a workshop on the theory and practice of individualised learning, in which Kumon has specialised for more than fifty years.

The supplementary education provider will join around 5,000 attendees including local authority representatives, classroom assistants and school heads at London's Olympia National Hall on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 October.

Throughout the two-day exhibition, Educational Development Manager, Dr John Flint will explore the practicalities of personalising learning to demonstrate the advantages of education programmes tailored to each child.

Dr Flint says: "The workshop is designed to give practitioners the chance to share their experience with, and learn from other delegates. For the personalised agenda to truly succeed it will need to be systematic, adaptable and both cost and time effective. We also plan to share some Kumon strategies that have proved successful in creating the independent learners we all aspire to nurture."

The Kumon in Schools initiative is designed to reach even more students through tailored, classroom-based English and maths programmes. As with centre based Kumon instruction, these programmes also complement the curriculum and build confidence among children.

To find out more about the initiative, visit us at stand B4b from 10am - 5pm on 1 and 2 October. Throughout the exhibition, Kumon will be running a number board challenge where delegates can play against their colleagues and peers in a friendly competition to win a digital camera.
