"It is highly rewarding to be a part of young people's success and to hear reports from school of how they are advancing and often outperforming their peers."
Cath Muscroft, Instructor of the Golborne Study Centre

Kumon supports World Maths Day

World Maths Day is fast approaching, and leading education provider Kumon fully supports this global initiative in which children across the world come together to focus on the importance of maths and to increase the speed of their mental arithmetic.

Kumon is one of the leading education providers in the UK and Ireland, offering both maths and English programmes for children of all ages and abilities. Kumon exists to provide as many children as possible with the opportunity to learn and aims to give them the best chance in life by offering a unique and individualised study programme that is tailored to the needs of each child.

Kumon strongly believes that whatever path a child takes in life, a solid understanding of mathematics will be crucial to their success. Kumon originated in Japan as a maths programme back in 1954. Today, the programme still leads our students from the very basics of counting to calculus and beyond, all without the use of calculators.

World Maths Day commences on 3 March and Kumon welcomes this fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of maths and mental agility amongst children across the nation.

Michael John, Kumon UK Instruction Manager, says:
"At Kumon, we focus on developing all students' ability to work quickly, accurately and, importantly, independently. We are delighted to support World Maths Day as we firmly believe each and every child has the potential to become great mathematicians and contribute to the global community."
