About this centre

The Kumon Hemel Hempstead Study Centre has been running for more than ten years. During this time, hundreds of students have made phenomenal progress in their maths and English skills and have notably increased their confidence.

The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.

Kumon is a programme suitable for children of all ages and abilities, and current students at the centre range in age from three to 16 years old.

The centre provides a calm and productive learning environment for the students. Working alongside the Instructor are two experienced class assistants, dedicated to helping new students master their study skills, and three assistants who help mark the students’ worksheets.

Similar to other tuition providers the Kumon programmes focus on essential academic skills, but we go one step further by developing a child’s independent study skills, needed for school, university, employment and all other aspects of adult life.

Hi, my name is Judy and I took over the Kumon Hemel Hempstead Study Centre in April 2016.

I have 20 years’ experience as a primary school teacher so can incorporate everything I have learnt thus far into my Kumon instruction and, therefore help your children to make the best possible progress.

At Kumon, students are able to learn their times tables to such a degree of proficiency that when they come to more advanced study they can progress with ease.

I have three grown up children who all studied with Kumon when they were younger, and through Kumon they were all equipped with the necessary skills to go on and pursue their desired line of study.

I look forward to welcoming new families to the study centre and working with you and your children so they too can become confident, capable individuals.
