Welcome to the Kumon Ilford, Seven Kings Study Centre, which provides maths and English programmes for students of all ages and abilities.
The study centre continues to see students benefit from the study programmes every week. Students attend the centre up to twice a week, and through an individual daily work plan, can develop skills such as concentration, confidence, independent learning and good study habits, as well as maths and/or English.
Unlike the process of a traditional tuition provider, Kumon encourages students to take their learning into their own hands.
Information sessions are usually held on a Thursday evening and enrolments are arranged at a time to suit you - normally in the evening during the week or Saturday mornings. At these meetings we can discuss the Kumon programmes, show examples of the type of work your child will be doing and assess the level at which your child will begin.
If you do wish to proceed, your child can start at the next session on the day that is most convenient for you.
Please contact me if you wish to find out more about the Kumon Ilford, Seven Kings Study Centre. I look forward to meeting you and your child; together we can help them succeed, both in and out of the classroom.
My name is Henna Patel and I am the Instructor at the Kumon Ilford, Seven Kings Study Centre. The study centre was opened in 1997 and I took over as Instructor in January 2011. I was familiar with Kumon as my younger brother had been enrolled on the maths programme whilst he was at school.
I remembered how much the Kumon Method of Learning had helped my brother become a confident and driven young man, with great life skills. Seeing how much it had helped him, I jumped at the chance of being able to give other children the same opportunities by becoming a Kumon Instructor.
For me Kumon is much more than a job, as it is much more than simply a maths or English programme. My students set goals and targets and work to achieve them; the goals are not just academic, but an overall aim to grow, overcome any difficulties, and have a sense of confidence, pride and achievement in their work.
Over the years I have been lucky enough to see many of my students achieve their full potential. I feel proud to know that I have helped them take responsibility for their own futures and see them go on to achieve not only academically, but on a broader spectrum.
