Welcome to the Kumon Selsdon Study Centre.

The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.

The majority of students at the centre attend local schools and range from pre-schoolers to those in secondary school, however the centre welcomes students of all ages and abilities. We have had many students go on to do well in their 11+ and entrance exams for schools in Sutton, Kent, Bromley, Bexley and Croydon, having developed the complementary study skills needed to achieve success.

Newly enrolled students are closely monitored to ensure they acquire the study skills and self-assurance to go on to become confident, independent learners. As well as the Instructor, the centre has three friendly, approachable assistants who have been trained to support the development of the children studying both the maths and English programmes.

In addition to studying an appropriate amount of work at home on a daily basis, your child will also attend the study centre up to twice a week. Parents are kept informed about their child’s progress through the regular progress meetings and quarterly newsletters.

Hello, my name is Ade Adeyemo and I am the Instructor at the Selsdon Study Centre. I have been a Kumon Instructor since 2011 and a Kumon parent since 2001.

As a Kumon parent and a mother of three, I have witnessed the Kumon Method helping my children to achieve success at their schools, university and now into their chosen careers. Seeing and knowing how the Kumon programme helped my children inspired and prompted me to want to start my own centre.

The experience I have gained as a Kumon parent and as an Instructor have given me unique insights and added empathy. I really enjoy motivating children and watching them develop their study skills and grow in confidence and I am supported by a motivated team of assistants.

I look forward to discussing the programme with you and hope to see your children develop key life skills through Kumon study and would be delighted to welcome you to the Selsdon Study Centre.
