About this centre
At the Kumon Solihull Tudor Grange Study Centre, our aim is to cultivate a life-long love for learning from enrolment. Through daily study your child will develop their ability and confidence, enabling them to self-learn and achieve beyond their school grade level.
My class assistants and I will develop each child into a confident and independent learner who are ready to take on any challenge they encounter, not only when it comes to maths and English, but in other areas of their life too. Our passion is to help any child of any ability to progress and develop a curiosity for learning. The Kumon Study Programmes are designed to ensure that from the beginning, your child will develop study skills, such as concentration, focus, stamina and perseverance, which are essential for their personal and professional development.
Your child will visit the centre twice a week where I will observe, instruct and tailor a study plan to suit them. I will establish strong learning foundations and a positive learning experience for each child and help them build the skills and confidence needed for their future.

I initially joined Kumon as a Senior Class Assistant at one of the company-owned centres and worked with hundreds of children with different learning abilities. That journey changed my life, as it changed my entire view of children and their academic abilities. I learned to understand each child individually, and what the role of an Instructor was; paying close attention to each child’s ability and style of learning, and to provide effective support to ensure that students are studying at their right level. That allowed me to start making positive changes in the students. I learned to truly understand each child and put in place different strategies for each ability and style of learning.
I believe that you can instil a love of learning in each child and a desire to study ahead of their school grade level. I believe that with the right support, every child can study independently and take their learning into their own hands. My purpose in life is to make that change happen in each child I come across. I look forward to welcoming you into our centre and helping your child discover their potential

Most Popular Questions
Kumon is a self-learning programme but each student receives regular support from their Instructor. The carefully developed worksheets teach students how to find the answer for themselves, whilst their Instructor offers guidance when necessary. The key role of each Kumon Instructor is to observe their students working, making sure that work is set at the right level and that they are developing at the right pace.
Students can start learning with Kumon from age two upwards. We currently have students as young as two years old studying with us, ranging all the way up to those about to go to university; Kumon helps children of any age and any ability. The sooner children begin, the earlier they can start developing skills to gain the greatest cumulative benefit; as soon as you feel your family is ready to make the commitment to long-term study, Kumon will be ready to help you achieve your goal.
Kumon offers much more than tutoring and differs from traditional teaching in the classroom. Rather than preparing children for a particular test or assessment, Kumon empowers students to learn for themselves, through individualised instruction and carefully developed worksheets.
As well as developing key skills in maths and English, each Kumon student will work towards building their independent learning skills and confidence in their own abilities. This means that a Kumon student will not be dependent on – or limited by – the skills and knowledge of others.
As a global programme, Kumon does not follow a school curriculum, but rather is complementary to curricula across the world. The primary aim of the Kumon Method is to develop independent learning skills. These independent learning skills enhance the students’ performance right across the school curriculum. Kumon operates at exactly the right level for each student – regardless of their age – ensuring that work set extends and develops their skills, confidence and ability.
