Prior to starting with Kumon I had worked in training and development within a call centre environment. Although I enjoyed this, I wanted to work for a child-focussed organisation, in a role where I could make a real difference. I became an Area Manager with Kumon Edcuational UK, a position that allowed me to work closely with Instructors, centre assistants, parents and students to enhance the quality of education at our study centres.
After five years as an Area Manager, an opportunity arose for me to change my focus and work as the Associate Learning Co-ordinator within the HCD team. This allowed me to support the development of all Associates, a wide and varied role that has allowed me to gain valuable experience and insight into different areas of the business. I'm now working as the Learning and Development Manager for Kumon Europe and Africa, working with international management teams to nurture a culture of development throughout the region.
Working for Kumon has allowed me to influence positive change and make a significant contribution to an organisation that values our students above all else.
